Importante Note After 42 operational seasons (1977-2018), the Galerie Bovary Automatons Museum shuts its doors. Weary of the multitude of new mandatory standards in France, laid each new year by technocrats who do not have the slightest idea what real life is, we’ve decided to say goodbye. We simply want, on behalf of all those who have contributed to the great success of this museum, especially its creator, without whom nothing would have been possible, monsieur MICHEL BURGAUD, to thank all visitors with all our heart. A big thank you to all the fans of automatons, of Flaubert, and of madame Bovary. 25,000 people per season visited the museum. A big thank you to the one million visitors during these 42 years. Maybe it’s not quite goodbye. Who can predict what will happen tomorrow. It is with a somber heart that I put an end to these few lines and 42 years of incredible adventures thanks to you. Thanks… |

Later, after the visit, the pleasure to take a rest in the park, listening the quiet sound of the river.
Maybe also the beginning of a visit in the borough and neighborhoods to discover the places described once by Flaubert, where his heroes lived, suffered, and died.
